4 Ways to Kick Office Blah!

Wanna know the truth? Ok, we totally admit to experiencing that “oh so embarrassing” moment of unbuttoning our jeans while sitting at the office desk #bloatsabitch. Anyways, that was then and this is now. Bloated tummy, jeans and sitting down 9-5? Hang on, let me just catch my breath…literally just finished a rep of squats with the Flat Tummy team and we’re feeling freaking good for it.

So let me get to the point, we all know that some days working at a desk 9-5 can make you feel kinda blah, right? Well not at Flat Tummy Tea HQ. We’re doing this new thing where we all stand up at the start of every hour and do a different stretch or movement, accompanied by some raging workout tunes (of course).  

We’re not saying you’ll get to the olympics this way but a little stretching, muscle strengthening, and even short stints of aerobic exercises can help keep you motivated, energised and flat all day. Not to mention, no more embarrassing unbuttoned pant moments. You want in? Well it

Squat your bloat away
 
Most of you probably think squatting is just for the booty, well you're wrong. No but really, squatting involves a lot of core strength which of course gets that tummy tighter and flatter #winning. Stand up from your chair, keep your feet shoulder width apart and slowly bend your knees until your legs are at a 90 degree angle (pretend your sitting on a chair, but not really sitting on a chair). Make sure you are putting all your weight into the back of your heels to feel that burrrrnnn. 3 sets of 20 reps and you'll be looking like a Kardashian in no time. 

Dance your bloat away
This one speaks for itself babes. Turn on a good tune and pull out your best moves until the song has finished. A little bit of robot, a little bit of twerk and a little bit of pop, lock & drop. Your heart rate will be up and you'll be filled with happy endorphins ready to kick butt for the rest of the day. Remember, no judging... this is just practise for the Christmas party dance off #wereallinthistogether.

Stretch your bloat away 
We're not gonna get all yogi on you here but we all know how freaking good a stretch feels. Stretching increases the blood flow to your brain which nourishes your muscles and improves concentration levels. Pretty cool huh? Time to get up off that chair, lift your your arms up then outwards and rock your body back and forward. Don't forget to breath AKA make baby dinosaur noises, it actually makes it so much better! 

Walk your bloat away 
Whether it's a walk around the block during lunch or a walk to the tap, we're constantly telling you babes to drink up.. well we mean it. Water bottle fill ups are the perfect way to keep flat throughout the day. You should be drinking at least 6-8 glasses of water every day during your Flat Tummy Tea cleanse. Why? Keeping hydrated will not only help you kick bloat's butt, it will also get that brain working like a boss! Ain't nobody got time to feel blah.
