4 Ways Water Beats Blaaah

Posted by Adrian Ryan on

Feeling thirsty? This time we dont mean wine. We all know that Flat Tummy Tea is always there to help in that department but some days do you feel like you just can’t resist the urge for something sweet or you can’t fight off that annoying headache on a Monday morning?

Yep, we get the feeling. Don’t worry, we’ve got your back. Here are 4 basic ways you can incorporate water along with your Flat Tummy Tea detox to combat those everyday struggles.

Whoops moments? Are sweet cravings constantly getting the best of you and your tummy? We’ve got your back.

When you’re dehydrated, it can be difficult for some nutrients to be absorbed and for organs like the liver to store glucose, AKA sugar in your body. While you can crave anything from chocolate to a salty snack, cravings for sweets are more common because your body may be experiencing difficulty with the glycogen production. You catch my drift, right?

So if you’re craving something sweet, reach for a snack that has high water content. Most fruit and veggies have high water content and will help you stay hydrated. Some of our fave picks are watermelon, cucumber, oh and celery with a little peanut butter on top. Tummy full and body hydrated. It’s a win, win situation!

Tip - If you don’t love plain water, jazz it up by adding a splash of coconut water or chunks of frozen fruit.

Feeling Blaaah? Are you feeling dizzy, tired or struggling with headaches often? We’ve got your back.

Before I go on my rant, you better bet your tummies I did my research!  So, to keep it simple the brain sits inside a fluid sack that keeps it from bumping against the skull. If that fluid sack is depleted or running low because of dehydration, the brain can push up against parts of the skull, causing you to feel dizzy, tired or leave you with a nasty headache.

Did you know that having as few as five sips of water an hour is equivalent to being over the drink drive limit. Say what?! According to new research, drivers make more than twice as many mistakes when they are just mildly dehydrated.

That’s why we like to start our day the right way with a cup of Flat Tummy Activate tea. Kicking bloat's butt and hydrating at the same time, your energy levels will leave you feeling freaking good ready to take on anything.

Case of Mondayitis? Monday pee (it’s a thing) well we claim it.. not the same colour as usual? We’ve got your back.

Although trying every flavour on the cocktail menu may seem like a good idea at the time, some weekends can get a little hectic in the alcohol department and when Monday rolls over, it leaves you feeling like it wasn’t such a good idea.
If you’re well hydrated your urine will most likely be clear with a tinge of yellow. The colour of your pee can be determined by many different factors but after a weekend of drinking (and peeing every 5 minutes) your body can result in a high level of dehydration. Basically the darker your pee is the more dehydrated your body is.

So next Sunday, go treat your self to a kick ass drink bottle. That way if you take it everywhere you go during the week, you’ll most likely get into the habit of sipping it without even realising. Now that’s what we call an accessory #inyourfacemonday.

Bloat being a bitch?
Struggling to get your shit together in the bloat department? No, like literally…constipation problems.
We’ve got your back.

Simple, water helps maintain normal bowel function. Adequate hydration keeps things moving along with your gastrointestinal tract AKA tummy and prevents constipation. When you don’t get enough fluid the colon pulls water from stools (poop) to maintain hydration and the results is, well we all know.. constipation.

Feeling 5 months pregnant ain’t no fun so you’ll be happy to know that Flat Tummy Tea totally counts towards your daily fluid intake! We recommend drinking 6-8 glasses of water everyday along with your Flat Tummy Tea detox. You’ll be back to flat in no time #backontrack.

For the record, the babes at Flat Tummy Tea HQ live religiously by these tips. How else are we supposed to keep up with helping all of you get back on track? Drink up!
